Four permit filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation confirm Amazon Data Services as owner of Project Eagle — a $1.2 billion, four-building data center campus in Boling, Wharton County, about 60 miles southwest of Houston. Construction is slated to start August 1, 2026 on a compressed schedule, all ten core low voltage systems are in play, and per reviewed sources, not a single contractor — GC, electrical, or specialty — has been publicly named.
