🔴 LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEMS CONTRACTOR LICENSE REQUIRED: Hawaii requires a Low Voltage Systems Contractor or Specialty Electrician license with 4 years experience, NEC exam, and continuing education.

Low Voltage Systems Contractor License

Hawaii requires a Low Voltage Systems Contractor license or Specialty Electrician license through the Board of Electricians & Plumbers for low voltage installations.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 4 years in the trade
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • Examination: Pass NEC exam
  • Continuing Education: 4 hours per renewal
  • Statewide Authority: Valid throughout Hawaii
