S2M Solutions is seeking a motivated and experienced Low Voltage Cable Installer / Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of low-voltage systems including structured cabling, network infrastructure, CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, and audiovisual equipment.

Responsibilities
• Install, terminate, label, test, and document low-voltage cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and specialty cabling.
• Install and assist with deployment of CCTV camera systems, Access control systems, Datacomm Projects, and various AV equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and project specifications.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and project managers.
• Assess project requirements and identify installation challenges before work begins.
• Troubleshoot cabling, network connectivity, and low-voltage system issues.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, test results, and as-built information.
• Ensure installations comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and company quality expectations.
• Operate ladders, lifts, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on customer job sites.
• Travel to customer locations as required. (Pay rate increases on traveling)
Qualifications
Required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of low-voltage installation experience
• Experience installing and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, and related structured cabling systems
• Ability to read and follow project drawings and installation standards
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record and Dependable transportation
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to possess Texas Private Security Licensure (Clean Background)
Preferred
• Experience with CCTV surveillance systems
• Experience with electronic access control systems
• Fiber optic installation and termination experience (Cleave/Fusion Splice)
• Lift certification or experience operating aerial lifts
• Industry certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, manufacturer certifications, or equivalent
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
