Job Description

Field Technician - Parking, Security & Low-Voltage Systems

PSX is a parking and security systems integrator serving commercial and industrial clients across multiple industries. We have been family-operated for over 55 years and focus on building a team that values quality work, accountability, and long-term relationships.

We are hiring a Field Technician to support installation and service work across parking systems, electronic security systems, physical security systems, and related low-voltage technology throughout the New Orleans area.

This role may include work with access control, video surveillance, IP camera systems, alarm systems, parking equipment, gate operators, barrier arms, turnstiles, and other commercial access or security systems.

Prior experience with electronic security, gate security, parking systems, or commercial access systems is preferred, but not required. Candidates should have hands-on field experience with low-voltage, telecom, AV, electrical, electronic, mechanical, or related service technician work, along with the ability and interest to learn new systems.

This is a field-based role. After training, technicians spend most of their time working at customer sites across the New Orleans area, with some time spent on documentation, coordination, and follow-up. A company van is provided to take home after training, and technicians typically start their day directly from the field rather than reporting to the office daily.

Pay range: $22-$30/hour, depending on experience
