Low Voltage Lead Technician - Fredericksburg VA $30-$50/hr + OT

Childress Solutions / Veterans Choice is hiring experienced Low Voltage Lead Technicians for a security systems projects in Fredericksburg, VA.

We need hands-on field leads with experience in access control, CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion alarm/IDS, structured cabling, door hardware, card readers, control panels, cameras, NVRs, troubleshooting, testing, programming, commissioning, and crew leadership.

Pay: $30-$50/hr, based on experience
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-time project work, overtime may be available

Hotel / Per Diem / Travel: To be discussed based on location

Responsibilities:

* Lead low-voltage/security technicians on commercial job sites
* Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat6, composite cable, alarm wire, control wire, and related low-voltage cabling
* Install and support access control panels, card readers, door contacts, REX devices, maglocks, electric strikes, cameras, NVRs, and alarm devices
* Troubleshoot wiring, devices, panels, cameras, networked equipment, and system issues
* Read prints, wiring diagrams, device layouts, and cable schedules
* Coordinate daily work with project managers, contractors, clients, and other trades
* Maintain daily reports, redlines, as-builts, and clean documentation

Required Experience:

* Experience leading low-voltage/security crews
* Hands-on access control and CCTV experience
* Ability to troubleshoot field wiring, devices, and security systems
* Ability to read prints, wiring diagrams, device layouts, and cable schedules
* Reliable transportation
* Basic tools and PPE
* Ability to work in Georgia and start soon
* Ability to pass required jobsite access requirements, including background check if required
