CommWorld of PA is a leading Telecommunications Contractor in Eastern & Central PA and NJ. We provide clients with a comprehensive approach to contracting and specialize in a wide range of services. We are a Telecom/Data & Low Voltage Company. We provide support and installations for National Chain Companies. We are based out of Bethlehem, PA and have over 25 years in the National industry supporting government and commercial projects. We work with several National vendors across a range of industries.
We have immediate openings.

We cover all of NJ, eastern and central PA

• You will be dispatched from your home.

• Company van

• Hiring ASAP (2 Techs)

• This is not a 9 to 5 job

• Shifts can be 8 to 12 hours Plus driving time

We are Looking for a Low Voltage Technician

Duties and responsibilities of a Communication Technician:

• Set up cable reels or boxes in preparation for installation.

• Terminate CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A, RG6, RG11 jacks. Mount faceplates and surface-mount boxes correctly. Adhere to labeling standards.

• Rough in various types of cable above the ceiling or raised floor.

• Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.

• Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.

• Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled in accordance with safety regulations.

• Dress cable down a wall and/ or through modular furniture.

• Install cutouts, install faceplates, and terminate jacks.

• Assemble racks and or cabinets.

• Demonstrate knowledge of connector color codes.

• Develop basic skills in terminating patch panels and wiring blocks

• Rack and Stacks

• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.

• Troubleshoot issues with cable networks.

• Ensure systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.

• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by CommWorld of PA, our customers, or OSHA.

• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

Job requirements for Communication Technician:

• Must be able to work in a construction area at heights, on a ladder, and in confined spaces.

• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

• High school graduate or GED.

• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors.

• An ability to distinguish the colors of communication materials.

• Must be self-motivated and professional.

• Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts.

• Have all tools for Low Voltage

• Have a clean Driver's License

• This is for a Full-time Job

• Network troubleshooting skills

• High school graduate or GED

• Fire and Burg experience is helpful

• Fiber Optics experience is helpful

• Fluent in English

• Ability to read blueprints

• Be a team player

We are looking for a low voltage technician for a full-time position to provide assistance with the installation and troubleshooting of various Access Control, CCTV, Fire and Burg, voice and data associated infrastructure, Drop Ceiling, internal wall, external wall, wire tray & conduit installs.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various system issues that may arise
Be responsible, punctual, and reliable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per hour
